Well, I have managed to resist the temptation to post for nearly the whole day, so I figured I would now. Nother much to say of any interest, except that I put myself through great pain and anguish this morning to get into uni for 9:30 only to discover that actually the one lecture of the week that I can honestly say I look forward to had been cancelled, as had my seminar. Brilliant.
I consoled myself by going and distracting Heena from her work for a bit to discuss my P46 and life in general. We even exchanged MSN addresses so as to allow me to distract her while off campus as well as on. I then spent half an hour in the SU shop trying to decide which UWE hoodie I wanted to buy. After 18 months of being at uni I decided it was high time i invested in some of the merchandise, and seeing as I needed a new jumper anyway .....
It eventually came down to a choice between Navy Blue, which would have looked fairly reasonable with most of my clothes but was a little bit same-y, and bright red, which would have been more interesting and radical, but which I might not have been able to wear out of doors as easily. It was such a tough desision that I had to text Ali for advice. I was in the process of taking photos of myself in both to send her for comparison when I actually tried on the red one and discovered that it was quite a bit smaller than the blue and made out of much less cosey material. I guess that kind of made up my mind and a few minutes later I was a hoodie richer and £19.99 poorer.
Home I went and to my beloved PC where I spent most of the afternoon reading and chatting to people on MSN. Am quite near the end of Moab Is My Washpot now. I'm hoping to finish it on the train either to or from Katy's. Next up will be Pride and Prejudice I think. How better to provide contrast to a modern autobiography written just 9 years ago than with one of the 19th Century's greatest and most famous novels?
I don't feel as though I have a lot else to report really. When you next hear from me, I expect to have returned from 2 days of Katy visiting. I can't imagine I'll post again before that, unless I find myself with too much free time tomorrow morning, in which case who knows?
I'm sorry this isn't the most exciting post ever, I seem to be feeling rather sleepy all of a sudden and it has taken the creative juices right out of my brain. I think I'll leave you now and go and get a drink.
Til we meet again,
!
